To fulfill our Strategic Pillar of Research means the Branch for Global Surgical Care believes in generating knowledge through research and also in acting on/implementing changes as a result of its research outcomes.
Well-structured, ethical and multidisciplinary Global Surgery Research allows surgeons and other health professionals in the surgical field to disseminate knowledge and potentially identify innovative solutions to promote and improve surgical outcomes in low-resource settings. This evidence-based approach allows the Branch for Global Surgical Care to ensure processes are carried out with equity, social justice, and inclusion of non-colonialist methods with adequate collaboration and validation from peers and experts.
