Regan Guilfoyle has been working as a pediatric plastic surgeon at the Stollery Hospital in Edmonton since 2016, with unique specialization in ear reconstruction, vascular malformations, and facial prosthetics. Her main area of academic interest lies in the ethical delivery of global surgical care. She has worked with the Office of Global Surgery at the University of Alberta to establish a framework for ethics in global surgery, a process which is ongoing. The knowledge that she has gained over the course of the Master in Global Surgical Care has helped to expand her foundational knowledge of global surgery and broaden her understanding of this complex topic.
