Dalal Hubail has been a surgical resident in the Arab Board of Health Specializations and Saudi Board, Saudi Commission for Health Specialties programs at Bahrain – Salmaniya Medical Complex since 2018. She completed medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain in 2014 and has been a member in the the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland since 2017. In addition, she graduated with a MSc in Laparoscopic Surgery and Surgical Skills from Queen Mary University London – Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2018. She also earned a Certificate in Learning and Teaching from Queen Mary University London – Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2019 and is an Associate Fellow in the Higher Education Academy – UK.
Dalal felt that the GCGSC was a great program that definitely helped her grasp the importance of global surgery and how it can be addressed. She will definitely try to use all the tools and knowledge gained from her time in this certificate program to improve healthcare in her speciality and beyond, starting with implementing the surgical care plan she proposed as part of her assignments.
