Josh Wiedermann, MD FACS is a Pediatric Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeon at the Mayo Clinic as well as an Assistant Professor and Director of Global Surgery, and Faculty Advisor for the Global Surgery Student Alliance at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.
Josh plans to use his education from the MGSC to further our understanding of surgical outcomes in head and neck surgery in low and middle income countries (LMIC). This will be done through education, research and clinical work. He will focus on developing education curricula merging short term surgical trips with LMIC needs to build capacity and sustainability in head and neck surgery.
