Anna Mierzwa completed her medical school training at Western University and she is currently a 4th year general surgery resident at the University of Alberta. Her interests are in Acute Care Emergency Surgery and Community Surgery. The knowledge she has gained through the GCGSC will complement the diverse skill set she hopes to maintain in working with rural communities in Canada and abroad.
