Serena Kassam, a student of the MGSC program, recently published their SURG 560 final report to UBC CIRcle. This report summarizes the final practicum project “Aesthetic Outcomes of Patient with Unilateral Cleft Lip and Palate Following NasoAlveolar Molding (NAM) Therapy in an Outreach Setting, in Guayaquil, Ecuador” conducted during the 2023/24 academic year.
This study aimed to assess a model integrating long term delivery of pre-surgical NasoAlveolar Molding (NAM) therapy as a part of sustainable comprehensive cleft care treatment, in an outreach setting in Ecuador.
