Departmental Funding for LMIC students*

There may be limited Departmental financial support available for qualified students who are approved for the Master of Global Surgical Care. Candidates must demonstrate academic excellence and experience in global surgical care, reside and work in a Low or Middle Income Country and/or in an undeserved area and will remain in country to practice and apply the skills and knowledge gained in the MGSC to further enhance surgical care in an LMIC and/or underserved area. If you are an applicant that qualifies for these eligibility criteria please indicate this in the Funding section of your MGSC online application. Please note that this is a partial and not a full scholarship for a portion of the tuition, and candidates must source the remainder of the funding elsewhere. Please ensure you understand this before you submit an application as the Department is unable to fully fund tuition. It is important to have a plan in place on how you will fund your studies and not apply for the MGSC until you have this funding in place.

*Please note the availability of this Departmental Funding for 2025 is currently not determined. It will be confirmed following completion of the admissions cycle and once offers of admission are made and may require a competitive selection process. If you require funding please complete the section in your MGSC application to be considered. Candidates are encouraged to seek other funding supports, such as from your home institution or the sources listed below as Departmental support may not be available and likely will be limited.
