Maria Brinza is an internationally trained MD who is currently working as a clinical educator with the Regional Perioperative Education Program at Vancouver Coastal Health. Maria has been teaching perioperative nursing specialty education for over six years.
Her interest in taking the MGSC was to enhance her expertise and skills, for a better understanding of surgical care at a holistic level, the challenges in the health care system, and to have a broader view of the surgical needs globally. She wanted to expand her knowledge in surgical research methodology and use it for further programs implementation and evaluation in adult and community education.
